The Canadian Department of Peace Initiative

Attend this special evening event (no charge) to hear from experts, politicians and activist working to establish a federal department of peace in Canada and beyond.

Where: The Richmond Hill United Church, 10201 Yonge Street (a few blocks north of Major MacKenzie)


The focus of the evening's presentations and discussions will be the proposed federal Department of Peace legislation introduced federally by the NDP as Bill C-447 and seconded by a number of MPs of all parties in Parliament, including Olivia Chow.

Speakers will include Rob Acheson, the Co-Chair of Canadian Dept. of Peace Initiative and one or more MPs. Gerald Caplan, a world renowned genocide prevention expert and political activist who lives right here in Richmond Hill has also signed up to support the legislation.

Please attend in order to learn more about this important peace initiative which has supporters across the country and indeed the world.
