About Us

Toronto Iranians is a non-political, non- religious and independent online community dedicated to provide a communication tool for all Iranians living in Canada and abroad to share ideas, exchange information, talk about common interests and experiences. This is an effort in strengthening and maintaining communication loop among our community. The group established in 2001 and currently has more than 700 members.

VISION: To create a vibrant community and have an active and community voice participation in Canada's economy, society, politics and academia.

MISSION: To help to improve the standard of living of our community through, sharing information, networking, teamwork, creating sense of community, collective action, identifying and recognizing talented individuals, community innovation approach and collaborative achievement.

Toronto Iranians is highly active in charity, volunteer jobs and sponsoring community events such as: Fundraising for earthquake in Bam and Pakistan, Tsunami in Asia and Hurricane Katrina in The US (Sponsoring and organizing One People Concert), Running food and fund drive for the Food Bank, Participating in Mayor Miller community clean-up and Shore-line clean-up days, Tree planting, Sponsoring and organizing Iranian Fire Festival (4 Shanbeh Soori), Sponsoring and participating in Taking Steps for Brest Cancer, Sponsoring and organizing Hafez and Saghi (Benefit concert for the #OOPS#ociation of Child Labor in Iran and sponsoring a poetry recital on Forogh Farokhazad .

Toronto Iranians runs weekly gathering on Thursdays, outdoor activities (hiking and ice skating) on weekends and several celebrations and parties for various occasions. The intention of these gatherings is to build up a network, improve existing social relations, creating a platform for exchanging ideas and help each other socially and professionally to advance our community
